THE LAST FRIDAY BEFORE RAMADHAN

Ramadhan comes again. This time I am celebrating it at the new place which there are only few Muslims. There will be no more half an hour less working hour but I don't really mind since I only need less than half an hour to get home.

In my department, there are only two Muslims and they are Habsah Jalani and Madasari Ansari. I am not sure if can manage all this. I still can smell the coffee aroma in the morning but I am fasting. Hopefully I can go through it. Maybe it is a trial for me to prove that I am a good Muslimah.

Last year, my best buddy flew to Scotland to further his study in Ramadhan. God knew how was my feeling. I am proud of him but at the same time I know that he will be other person unlike before. Anyway, I never stop praying to Allah to save him from any unintended matters, condition or incident. I want him to come back here as the same person and contribute to the development of our nation. Huh.. dream of an ordinary techer.

Last five years, Ramadhan 2003, I celebrated my Ramadhan in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. A place which has moulded me into who ever I am today. Not only the academic lesson that I learnt in various classes but also the campus life which has taught me to be a brave lady, an ambitious lady and a lady who will never give up to achieve her dream.

10 years ago, I was 17 years old. Ramadhan was celebrated at home. I was just a little girl who was not only naive but also immatured. My world was only school and home sweet home but it was my first step to the real world.

Ramadhan, I am waiting for you each and every year.

BANYAK SANGAT KE

Yesterday I spent an evening with my companion.
I left my office at 3.00pm heading to Sri Hartamas. Gosh! The traffics were really bad. I need more than 2 hours from Nilai to Sri Hartamas.
We spent great time together. Talked about our new life since I just accepted an offer from a higher education institution in Nilai and he just got another tender.
After Maghrib, it was raining heavily but we decided to move to some other places to have our dinner. We finally reached Giant Kelana Jaya after 45 minutes in the most terrible traffic jam.
After buying our needs and wants in the Giant it self we chose to dine in The Chicken Rice Shop.

THESE ARE THE DISHES THAT WE HAD LAST NIGHT in THE CHICKEN RICE SHOP

  1. Nasi Ayam
  2. Roated Chicken
  3. BBQ Honey Chicken
  4. Satay without stick
  5. Pai Tee
  6. Tow Foo
  7. Sai To
  8. Pak Choi
  9. Ipoh Bean Sprout
  10. Nata De Coco as the desert
  11. Iced Milo
  12. Strawberry Yogurt Drink

not only that, we also had gone to the KFC just because of buying Cheesy Wedges although both of us were full to have anything more. hehehhe...

That is not the end of our 'makan' story.

We manage to stop at The San Francisco Pizza to grab a small size mushroom cheese pizza.

hahahhaha..

I reached home at 11.00 pm and i couldn't sleep until 2.

I felt guilty to my self. I was not supposed to eat that much.

If and only if

Today is totally different compared to yesterday, the days before yesterday in fact last year and the years before.
I can feel the difference. I am a new person at a new place with a new environment and new people around me.

Jika semalam aku termanggu
Jika semalam aku tertunggu
Jika semalam aku di situ

Hari ini aku di sini
Tidak lagi menanti
Suatu yang tak pasti

PUISI PUTIH KEPADA KAWAN

Usah lemparkan jauh-jauh rindumu itu

pada karang semakin tua

di mana angin terlalu kejam

untuk mengerti.

hidupmu harus kau hidupi

meski hangat bumi yang kau pijak

sehangat air mata kekasih

sebelum kematiannya!
